The Young Republic will be on tour from the end of winter into the summer. First, the Black Duck Blues Tour will take the band from the still frigid midwest down to warm Texas for the South by Southwest festival, west to the Pacific, down through the rockies and back through the plains. Then the band will be joining the Bigger In Britain Revue where they will be opening for and backing the lovely Virginia songstress Devon Sproule all along the east coast. And look out for the band on street corners in each city, busking with their old timey tunes during the day. The Young Republic introduces you to the newest member of our band on lead guitar duties. A native of Nashville, he's is a swing jazz extraordinaire with rock and roll ambitions and a cloudy old-time music past he chooses not to discuss, a whistler unrivaled in the South, a southern gentleman as never there was before, recently voted "My New Favorite Ginger" by a panel of judges, lock up your beautiful pedal steels when he's in town... it's Wes Langlois!

Next time you see the YR you will notice some line-up changes. It's always sad to part ways with old friends, always exciting to make new friends too.
